At the Seattle Canine Club, we are a social hub for dogs, offering daycare, playtime, and boarding services for our furry friends. Located just south of downtown Seattle, we are seeking reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as dog handlers. While prior experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate who shares our love and dedication for dogs.

As a dog wrangler, you will enjoy a fun and positive work environment, although be prepared for a physically demanding role that requires multitasking, cleaning, and lifting dogs, food, and supplies. These four-legged companions will keep you on your toes and keep you active throughout the day!

We currently have part-time positions available, offering approximately 20-30 hours per week, with opportunities for more hours. Your schedule may vary from week to week and will include weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.

  • Monitor and track dog behaviors, relationships, and health conditions.
  • Maintain the highest standards for dog safety and security.
  • Perform heavy cleaning duties, including waste cleanup, mopping, scrubbing, and sweeping.
  • Ensure proper feeding and administer medications as required.
  • Collaborate with teammates to deliver exceptional pet care in a team-oriented setting.

  • Be 18+ years old
  • Energy and stamina for a physically demanding role.
  • A genuine passion for working hands-on with dogs of all shapes and sizes.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays, understanding that dogs need care every day.
  • Ability to handle large groups of off-leash dogs in a positive and compassionate manner.
  • Patience, tolerance, and a love for dogs’ quirks, including barking, waste, odor, and hair.
  • Punctuality, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Desire to learn every day – we’d like to see you move on from this job to administration, training or other roles where we can help you get there.

We offer:

  • A great place to work – you all make the backbone of this business and management strives to create a great environment for all.
  • Flexible schedules – to work around studies or other personal responsibilities
  • Training – from onboarding you into all of the clubs activities, to dog first aid and CPR, training, or administrative tasks where your superpowers might take you
  • Competitive salaries – above market averages
  • Vacation benefits from day 1
  • Commission for different services
